About Denise Mazzocco
I can't remember a time when I WASN'T creative. ( I think it started in the womb!) :-) Although I've studied Art and Art History in school, I'm basically a self-taught artist. I began doing pencil-drawn portraits (similar to the one posted on this site) at age 14. My philosophy about art: I believe the best artists are those who are instinctive and intuitive rather than a slave to technique.
I've been very fortunate to have been able to travel throughout the U.S., England, Ireland and Scotland, and have had rare opportunities to visit many megaliths (one of my passions!) and ancient sites. In 2011, I had the privilege of not only walking inside crop formations in Wiltshire, but was also able to photograph them from a helicopter overhead. And the tiny island of Staffa in Scotland will always be a special place for me -- it's where I almost lost my life in 2009! See the photo titled "Staffa" in the Scotland Photography Gallery for that story.
My collage artwork is unique in that it is ENERGY-INFUSED. That means that each design has been infused with very specific vibrational energies. I'll be adding many more designs in the near future, and I also have a few very special collages that are part of a Private Collection, which will not be posted here, but if you're interested in seeing them, please contact me directly.
Enjoy the images!
